Where you from?!

I was reading this thing on topix.com talking about if Somalians are Black or not. It had said that Somalians are 85% African American and 15% Eurasian. That's pretty logical knowing that the country has been colonized by Italy and there's an huge influence from the Arabs. It's near the Arabian coast.

All throughout my schooling years in the united states people always questioned my race and where I was from. Whenever I said I was from Africa they would not believe and that bothers me because people don't really know what type of people are in Africa and then they live up to those silly sterotypes made by white america. &Ask me those dumb Questions Like Do yall have televisions?... ... But you know what it's not their fault. They are so use to seeing Africa on the discovery channel. So used to seeing the rural parts aka the jungle. So used to seeing the animals. Lately people are stepping outside the box and are willing to learn and/or know more about Africa. which puts a :) on my face.

Sooo three types of East Africans who look alike...

Eritians, Ethiopians, Last but not least Somalians.

These 3 countries are all right next to each other.
I get soo bothereed when people mistake me for Ethiopian.I dont know why I dont think I look or resemble one but Even Ethiopians question if I am.

It shouldnt bother me because we all our beautiful people from the motherland. :)
